Most people know I'm a giver. I absolutely love to give gifts to people - not just during Christmas, but year round. God has currently abundantly blessed me with the income to give in an extravagant way.
But it wasn't always so. Even still, when I had nothing, I found a way to give to those I loved and cared about (as well as those God put on my heart to be extra compassionate to). I could figure out all kinds of ways to give... making cookies from scratch, making a printout of the meaning of someone's name and framing it in a Dollar Tree frame, spending time listening and praying for someone that no one else would listen to and giving them my own bible (and somehow immediately being given a new bible within 24 hours every time!!!).
You may not feel like you have anything to give someone for Christmas; but I promise you that you do. You have the gift of time, creativity, you have something special that means a lot to you that you can let go of so another person can feel special and loved and seen by God. It is our tangible way of evidencing an unseen God. Give that someone God has placed on your heart a gift this year - even if what you have feels like it's not good enough. Even if it feels like it will seem too small or insignificant. I promise you, Your Father in heaven notices everything.
And remember, everything you give to God will ALWAYS return to you (and most of the time more, though it may not be in the same manner). EVERYTHING. I'm not just talking about money or physical possessions. I'm talking everything. He is the Great Multiplier. I believe even the widow's two small coins were given back to her in an overflow of love and abundance. It is a law and principle of God as written in scripture - which means it is as good as gold and will never change. Love you my friends ❤️
