OK everyone here is the 2026 banquet form.Please note that the ticket price has increased $10. With the hall burning down this past winter we have secured a new hall in Unionville,Mi.MI. Also we will have a new Caterer for dinner.There will be no tickets sold at the door. There will be a printable form posted if you order and pay you can pickup your tickets at the door..Hope to see you in September and thanks for your support.

Ok everyone, there are going to be some changes for the upcoming waterfowl season this fall. This is directly from our DNR liaison at Fish Point:

There were a number of changes being considered for this fall’s draws to have some efficiencies and cost savings to stay within reduced budgetary constraints. Some efficiencies in staffing reductions will get us where we need to be this fall with expected budgets. Staff should continue to communicate with users that budget projections point to further reductions being necessary fall of 2027.

The following will be implemented at Fish Point, Nayanquing Point, Shiawassee and Harsens Island. I did not make any decisions for Muskegon, Allegan and Pointe Mouillee because they already have reduced drawing schedules, however they should voluntarily follow similar reductions if feasible.

No NCWA for managed draws fall of 2026.

Staff have communicated that they would rather save NCWA hours for spring/summer habitat work.
One person will run each draw unless noted below:

2 staff per draw for opening weekend at all areas.
Shiawassee and Fish Point can utilize 2 staff per draw on the weekends for the first 2 weeks when draws are expected to be busy.
Harsen’s Island can utilize 2 staff per draw throughout the season as necessary due to the complication of the ferry schedule and getting a substitute to the island in time for a draw if needed.
Volunteers can be utilized for ONLY the following tasks (because we have used volunteers short-term for these duties in the past).

Writing down the draw order for areas that are using balls to determine order of the draw.
Turning tags over on the board.
Recording which units were selected.
All areas will switch to a self-registration system at the end of the season as follows:

Fish Point and Nayanquing Point will switch to self-registration for the last two weeks of the season (beginning Monday, November 16).
All other areas will switch to self-registration the Monday following Thanksgiving (beginning Monday, November 30).
Shiawassee will move their draw to 5:30 a.m. to be consistent with other MWAs and to allow the check station to open later.

Other Considerations:

Waterfowl check stations will continue to be staffed until 1:00 PM to service hunters for both morning and afternoon draws.
