Several Buck and Doe Trust members look forward to converting their lawns to native grasses and flowers as part of the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance Lawn to Meadow program. Unmowed meadows have a myriad of benefits for native species.

Dried plant seedheads are also an important source of winter food for birds and small mammals. And we think the dried, sculptural meadow plants are quite beautiful!
