🥣 29,215 Meals & Counting! 🥣

Our Scouts were on a mission this past Saturday at St. Mary’s, and the results were nothing short of incredible. Together, we rolled up our sleeves to create and pack 29,215 protein-packed meals for families in need!

From the assembly line to the final seal, the energy was electric. It’s amazing to see what our community can achieve when we work together toward a common goal.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, worked hard, and helped us make a real dent in local food insecurity.

Happy International Women’s Day from the combined family of Pack 170 and Troop 170! 🌟

Today, we are celebrating the incredible girls and women who bring leadership, grit, and heart to our local Scouting community. Whether they are just starting their journey as a Cub Scout in the Pack or navigating the path to Eagle Scout in the Troop, these trailblazers are proving that adventure knows no bounds.
From the banks of the Farmington River to the summits of our favorite New England peaks, the women and girls of 170 are living the Scout Oath and Law every single day. 🌲✨

⚜️ A Lifelong Journey of Leadership:
• The Cub Scout Years (Pack 170): Our girls are building confidence early—nailing their first Pinewood Derby designs, learning outdoor ethics at Winding Trails, and discovering the joy of community service right here in Unionville.
• The Scouts BSA Path (Troop 170): Our young women are taking the lead! They are mastering high-adventure skills, mentoring younger scouts, and earning merit badges that build real-world expertise.
• The Heart of the Unit: A huge shout-out to our female Den Leaders, Committee Members, and Assistant Scoutmasters. Your mentorship is shaping the leaders of tomorrow!

Pack 170 Pinewood Derby 2024 - What a blast! 🏎️💨

A huge THANK YOU to all our Scouts, families, and volunteers who made this past Saturday's Pinewood Derby an unforgettable event! The creativity, sportsmanship, and pure excitement were absolutely incredible.

From the custom car designs to the thrilling races, every moment was packed with fun and camaraderie. We saw some amazing engineering and lightning-fast speeds on the track!

Congratulations to all our participants – you all did a fantastic job! And a special shout-out to our winners!

🎄 Holiday Cheer Incoming! 🎄
Our Cub Scouts were out in full force this past weekend decorating the Unionville gazebo for the holiday season — and they absolutely crushed it!

From lights to garland to the perfect little tree, the Scouts (and a few dedicated grown-ups!) added a whole lot of festive spirit to the center of town. It’s amazing what a group of energetic kids, chilly weather, and a mission can accomplish.

A huge thank-you to our families and to the Unionville community for always supporting Pack 170. Stop by the gazebo this week and enjoy the sparkle — our Scouts built it with pride!

🇺🇸 Pack 170 Citizenship Night was a meaningful and engaging meeting. Our Scouts learned how to properly fold the American flag, explored what it means to be active members of their community, and worked together through activities that highlighted respect, teamwork, and responsibility.

Thank you to our leaders, parents, and Scouts for your dedication. Pack 170 in Unionville CT continues to grow strong citizens through every adventure.

We are also looking to welcome new families into our Pack. If you know a child who would enjoy hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and learning valuable life skills, Pack 170 has room to grow and would love to have them join us. 🐺✨

🍎 Pack 170 at Karabin Farms! 🐻🌾

Our Cub Scouts had an awesome Pack meeting out at Karabin Farms! The Cubs hiked the trails, picked fresh apples, got their bodies moving, and learned all about healthy foods and where they come from. 💪🍏

Nothing beats a day of fun, fitness, and farm-fresh learning with friends and family! 🌿🚜

🍂🔥 What a weekend! Pack 170’s Fall Campout was full of adventure, we played, ate like champs, built a roaring campfire, earned rank requirements and Whittling Chip, and even managed to avoid the black bears 🐻😅.

We wrapped up the night with our own outdoor theater under the stars, s’mores included! 🌟

Everyone had an absolute blast. Family Scouting at its best, fun, learning, and memories that’ll stick long after the tents are packed away. 💛💙
