Momvocation

Momvocation As a woman and a mother, I have two main pain points and my startup company aims to offer an alternative solution to help solve them.

A work from home or out of the home opportunity where including the commute; is no longer than the time that your child is in school/camp and allows unlimited child sick and snow days. As a woman earning seventy-four cents to a man’s dollar; while trying to break through the glass ceiling and work for an employer who is willing to work around a mother’s demanding schedule; with only 180 school day

s, unpredictable snow/sick days or reliable back-up care. I want to be a mother first, I don’t want to miss concerts, performances, conferences, or games, recitals and practices. I want to watch my daughter grow, and I want to work when she is in school, with no commute and from the comfort of my own computer, around the convenience of our family’s schedule. Before she went to school, I wanted to work around her naps, separation classes, and when it worked best around her ever changing schedule. I don’t want to subject my daughter to a 1 adult to 19 child ratio – substandard childcare at hefty prices that compete with my earnings. In the Mom Know, provides a work-from-home solution to meet moms needs; while maintaining the presence in their home, raising their children and providing a valuable resource to their community all at the same time. I introduce to you a company that does just that, In the Mom Know!

33% of the 31 million women in the workforce are opting out and my company, In the Mom Know, provides a work-from-home solution to meet their needs. And if they decide to return to the workforce later, there is no work disruption to overcome.

“The obligation for working mothers is a very precise one: the feeling that one ought to work as if one did not have children, while raising one’s children as if one did not have a job.” - Annabel Crabb

Working with children can be a challenge. Typical work at home jobs lay in the independent consultant industry. However there are some companies that would like to retain talented mothers while they are on their maternal leaves of absence. As we further develop this area of our site, let us know if you’re interested in being involved.
