September 1st Community Meal - Free Community Meal 🍽️🤝😊

We’re gathering neighbors for a simple, welcoming evening of shared tables and easy conversation. Join us on September 1, 2026, 6:00-8:00 PM at Uniontown Community Center - all are welcome.

Lentils, Lemonade, and a Whole Lot of Cookies - we rolled into the Lentil Festival ready for sunshine, smiles, and maybe a little rain. We handed out close to 1,000 cookies (sugar, oatmeal, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip), gave away 24 Lentil Soup‑in‑a‑Jar kits, and poured free lemonade that felt like tiny cups of relief. Our spin-the-wheel and trivia (Food Sustainability, Agriculture, Farm‑to‑Table) kept folks laughing, learning, and reaching for seconds. 🍪🍋🤝

Events like this are a lovely reminder: good food brings people to the table, and community is what makes them stay. If you’d like to help keep that momentum, we’re looking for volunteers (social media, community outreach, secretary, event coordination, member‑at‑large) and donations. Our first Community Meal in Uniontown brought about 25 neighbors together - proof that a shared dinner can turn strangers into familiar faces. 🍝🤝❤️

We served a comforting spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread and homemade tiramisu, set up kid-friendly coloring activities, and watched neighbors linger long after the plates were cleared. The evening was warm, full of laughter, and exactly the kind of community we want to build.

Last night we hosted our very first Community Meal in Uniontown—and it was a wonderful success! About 25 neighbors joined for good food, laughter, and meaningful connection. From spaghetti dinners to warm conversations across generations, the evening reminded us why community matters.
