CURRY-DYSON VFW POST 3514
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU
From the Commander, Curry-Dyson VFW Post 3514
To the Incredible Members and Supporters of VFW Post 3514,
On behalf of the entire Curry-Dyson VFW Post 3514, I want to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude to each and every person who made our recent event an extraordinary success. Events like this do not happen without the dedication, talent, and generous spirit of people who truly care — and our post is blessed beyond measure to have every single one of you.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Black and Melvin/Beau— Grill Masters Extraordinaire
A tremendous thank you to Black and Beau for working that grill and feeding our community with skill, love, and dedication. The food was absolutely outstanding, and your hard work at the grill made the event truly special. We are grateful for every flame you tended and every plate you served.
DJ Shorty Smoove— The Soundtrack of the Night
DJ Shorty Smoove, your music kept the energy high and the crowd moving all night long. You brought the perfect vibe and made sure everyone had a great time on and off the dance floor. Thank you for blessing us with your talent and keeping the celebration alive from start to finish.
Viola Martin — Decorations & Beautiful Ambiance
A special thank you to Viola Martin for the beautiful decorations that transformed our space into something truly elegant. Your creative eye and attention to detail set the tone for the entire event. The atmosphere you created was a gift to everyone in attendance.
Mrs. Dana Thomas — Mistress of Ceremonies
Mrs. Dana Thomas, you served as our Mistress of Ceremonies with grace, poise, and professionalism. You kept the program flowing seamlessly and made every person feel seen and valued. Your presence elevated the entire event, and we are so thankful for the honor of having you lead us through the evening.
The Honor Guard — Standing Tall with Pride
To our distinguished Honor Guard — your presence, discipline, and commitment to honoring our veterans is the very heart of what VFW stands for. You carried yourselves with the dignity and pride that represents every man and woman who has served this great nation. We salute you.
Justice Tarpley — Our First Youth to Lead the Pledge of Allegiance
A very special recognition goes to my niece Justice Tarpley, who holds a historic place in our post as the first youth to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Justice, you stood before the event with confidence and pride, and in that moment, you reminded every veteran and every member present exactly why we serve — for the next generation. Your voice leading us in those sacred words was a moment none of us will forget. We are so proud of you, and we look forward to watching you grow into the leader you are already becoming.
Chris Mclee — The Backbone Behind the Scenes
Chris Mclee, events like this don't come together without someone working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure every detail is in place — and that someone was you. Your effort, coordination, and dedication ensured everything ran smoothly. You are the quiet force that made it all possible, and we are deeply grateful.
Waynette Thomas — The Foundation of Our Post
To my beloved wife, Waynette Thomas — there are no words sufficient enough to express what you mean to this post and to me personally. You provide all of our post communications and social media presence, keeping our members informed and our community connected. Your unwavering support, sacrifice, and love are the foundation upon which so much of what we do is built. I am forever grateful and proud to stand beside you.
All Donors & Food Donors — The Spirit of Generosity
To every individual and organization that donated — whether funds, food, supplies, or your time — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity is what makes our post and our community strong. You did not just contribute to an event; you invested in the lives of our veterans and their families.
Our VFW Post 3514 is only as great as the people who pour themselves into it — and looking around at the faces of this incredible community, I am reminded every single day how blessed we are. Veterans of Foreign Wars represent sacrifice, honor, and brotherhood. You, our social members and supporters, carry that same spirit in everything you do for this post.
With immense pride, gratitude, and honor — thank you all. God bless you, God bless our veterans, and God bless America.
In Service and Gratitude,
