Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research

Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research The Lustgarten Foundation is accelerating ground-breaking discoveries in understanding, detecting, and treating pancreatic cancer.

Together, we are transforming pancreatic cancer into a curable disease! The Foundation envisions a world in which pancreatic cancer is curable and patients will be treated effectively and enjoy a better quality of life. Thanks to separate funding to support administrative expenses, 100% percent of every donation funds pancreatic cancer research.

The future of pancreatic cancer care is being shaped by a community that is inspiring hope and refusing to accept the status quo. ๐Ÿ’œ

At our 2026 Inspiring Hope Gala, the Lustgarten Foundation honored Elizabeth Jaffee, MD, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Eileen M. Oโ€™Reilly, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Erasca for their leadership across the research continuum, from scientific vision and clinical excellence to the development of new therapeutic possibilities.

Lustgarten-funded science is at the forefront of pancreatic cancer research, redefining patient options and expectations. Check out the FULL article: https://lfdn.org/4uFQe7I

Six years after her pancreatic cancer diagnosis, Sharon Bond is sharing her story to help inspire hope for others. ๐Ÿ’œ

Diagnosed in 2020 after experiencing unexpected weight loss, Sharon underwent surgery and chemotherapy. Today, she is thriving and using her voice to help raise awareness and advance pancreatic cancer research.

During National Cancer Survivors Month, Sharonโ€™s story is a shining example of why we walk: to fund the research that can lead to earlier detection, better treatments, and more survivors.

Join Sharon and the pancreatic cancer community at the 17th Annual Lustgarten Foundation Westchester Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research, sponsored by Northwell Cancer Institute, on Sunday, June 14! Register today: https://lfdn.org/4ggoB1b

Itโ€™s a question the pancreatic cancer community is asking, and one our experts will help unpack. ๐Ÿ™Œ

As daraxonrasib continues to generate important conversation, LustgartenLIVE! is bringing together leaders in the field to discuss the latest data, what it means for patients, and where KRAS-targeted research goes from here.

Weโ€™re only one week away. Save your spot: https://lfdn.org/4xay6Fe

From Milford (CT) to Tampa (FL) to Monmouth (NJ), our Walks brought together an incredible community united by one mission: changing the future of pancreatic cancer. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you to everyone who walked, fundraised, volunteered, sponsored, and showed up in support of patients and families. Your support helps turn community action into research progress for the people who need it most.

At 24, Lily Green should have been focused on the next chapter of her life. Instead, she was facing a stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

On National Cancer Survivors Day, Lilyโ€™s story is a powerful reminder of why research matters: because survivorship should not feel out of reach for any patient, at any age.

At the Lustgarten Foundation, we are working to advance the science that can give more patients the promise of more time, more options, and more hope. Because every patient deserves the possibility of survivorship. ๐Ÿ’œ

As Daraxonrasib continues to spark conversation across the pancreatic cancer community, LustgartenLIVE is bringing together clinical leaders to help make sense of what this progress could mean for patients.

Join us Wednesday, June 17 from 12โ€“1 PM ET for a conversation on Daraxonrasib, a first-of-its-kind RAS-targeting therapy that has demonstrated a near doubling of survival for patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Elizabeth Jaffee, MD, Chief Medical Advisor, Lustgarten Foundation; Nilo Azad, MD, Professor of Oncology, Johns Hopkins Medicine; and Alan Sandler, MD, Chief Development Officer at Revolution Medicines, will discuss what the Phase 3 RASolute 302 trial results are teaching us, what comes next, and how RAS-targeted therapies may shape the future of pancreatic cancer treatment. ๐Ÿ’œ

For patients facing pancreatic cancer, every new way of approaching treatment matters. ๐Ÿ’œ

A new clinical trial, built on foundational research from Salk Institute and led by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute researchers, tested whether a vitamin D-based treatment could help weaken pancreatic tumors' protective "shield" and make chemotherapy more effective.

The early findings are promising, showing the combination was safe and helped reshape the tumor environment. It's also a powerful example of the research pipeline at work: moving a discovery from the lab into a clinical trial and one step closer to patients.

Supported in part by the Lustgarten Foundation, this work helps lay the groundwork for larger studies and future treatment advances. More details: https://bit.ly/49zeTTF

Pancreatic cancer survivors inspire our mission every single day! ๐Ÿ’œ

During National Cancer Survivors Month, we honor the strength, resilience, and hope of those living with and beyond pancreatic cancer. At the Lustgarten Foundation, patients and survivors are at the heart of everything we do, driving our mission to transform pancreatic cancer into a curable disease.

The progress we make today is fueled by a shared commitment to a future where more patients can celebrate milestones, make memories, and thrive. Join us in supporting survivors by advancing life-saving pancreatic cancer research.
