We added some soldiers to the museum. Big ones and little ones. Each of the little ones has a tidbit about a local service member and can go home with guests. The bigs.. are just to look at. 😉

A little snippet of yesterday's fun in honor of Borgia graduate Jack Wagner. Lots of food, trivia, music, and we educated some people who had no idea who he was.
It might take a rocket scientist to figure out who our next "in honor of" birthday fun we will be having.
That will be in December. I gott

Franklin County has a very long history of w**e and wh***ey making, but last night 2 current companies were represented. McKelvey Vineyards and Nobelton Distillery, both of which have an interesting historical backdrops. McKelvey is on the former Twelker lands. Nobelton goes back over 200 years to the first distiller in the family. Please support these local businesses who honor those that came before them.

The Bibb documents from the Boles Township Labadie area from the very early to mid 1800s are unfolded, organized, and in a binder. If you are interested in viewing these, please ask a volunteer. They will not be on the floor.

We make it easy to be a member of the society!
Annual memberships are due each June 1st, but you can join any time.
Dues help us cover operating expenses like newsletters, utilities, office supplies , etc.
Annual individual membership Is $25 a year.
We are a volunteer based nonprofit organization. 100% of funds directly impact saving local history.

You don’t have to live here. You dont have to be active at meetings or events, but the help is always appreciated!
