October 27 is getting close, and we’re preparing for six months of ministry in West Africa.

Moments like this are part of why we go. Through eyeglass clinics, discipleship, and everyday acts of service, we have opportunities to meet practical needs, build relationships, and share the love of Jesus. ❤️

This is why discipleship matters. ❤️📖

The young man in these pictures is someone I’ve had the privilege of discipling, and he has become one of the closest people in my life.

Discipleship takes time and relationship. Working alongside someone. Listening. Having conversations about Jesus. Being there for one another and encouraging each other to keep growing in faith.

Looking at these pictures reminds me how much those everyday moments matter. I’m thankful God allowed our paths to cross.

That same heart is behind Brown Family Missions, here at home and in West Africa. We want to build relationships and help people grow in their walk with Jesus.

You don’t have to know everything that lies ahead to say yes to God today. Sometimes obedience begins with one simple prayer:

“Lord, show me who I can serve.”

Someone around you needs encouragement, kindness, or a reminder that they haven’t been forgotten. Let’s make room for that person today. ❤️

On October 27, we return to West Africa for six months of serving, sharing the Gospel, discipling believers, and walking alongside children and families.

God can use a willing heart to make a difference. ❤️

Sometimes serving starts with something simple: sitting beside a child, listening, praying with someone, or showing up when they need encouragement.

Through Brown Family Missions, we want every person we encounter to know they are loved by God. As we prepare to return to West Africa October 27, please pray that our hearts stay ready to serve wherever He leads.
