🧱 In this photograph, the brick lodge stands with its connecting section in the center, joining it to the older wooden buildings nearby. That section is now the Thermal Pub.

The 1934 fire took those wood-frame buildings, but the brick lodge and its connecting section came through it. Same room, still standing.

We are back to our regularly scheduled Storytime programming, Tuesdays from 10-11. We read together half an hour then do an activity. Today’s play kitchen was obviously very entertaining.

The following has really stood out for the Union Food Bank:

"Volunteer capacity presents as a more nuanced challenge. While regional food banks in Oregon report relatively stable
volunteer support compared to other states, concerns persist about an aging volunteer base and long-term sustainability—particularly at the pantry level.: "Many pantries are entirely volunteer-run,
with limited succession planning, creating potential risks to continuity of service in some communities."
