PROFILE: APOSTLE ALEX GYAN-BENNEH (Executive President, CCMN)
He was born in Jinjin in the Bono Region of Ghana on Tuesday, March 19, 1957, to Opanin Kwasi Donkor Gyan and Obaapanin Mary Benneh (both late). He is the seventh born among the eleven children of this couple. After his elementary education, he studied Building Construction at the Sunyani Technical University in the Bono Region of Ghana.
Apostle Gyan-Benneh got converted after he had been baptized and confirmed at a Scripture Union’s meeting in June 1976. He became a staunch member of the Scripture Union fellowship in Berekum, also in the Bono Region of Ghana. He became the Prayer Secretary of the same fellowship. In 1981, whilst preparing to advance his education, Apostle Gyan-Benneh received the “Call” of God for fulltime ministry.
After accepting the “Call”, he got the chance to attend the All Nations for Christ Bible School in Benin City in Nigeria, under the presidency of the elate Archbishop Benson Idahosa. After returning to Ghana, he became an Evangelist, working with the Scripture Union, Churches and Ministries. Between 1987 and 1991, he became the Traveling Secretary of the Scripture Union for the Berekum area. He attended an International Conference of Evangelists in Amsterdam, Holland.
After much prayer and under the instructions of the Lord, he joined the Temple of Praise Ministries (now TOP Ministries International) and was posted as a pastor to the Wenchi branch. After great success in Wenchi, he was transferred to Dormaa Ahenkro branch between 1999 and 2006. In October 2006, he was transferred to head the Berekum branch. A year later, the unfortunate happened when he lost his wife. As a result, he relocated to Kumasi, where he pastored a church that was headed by Apostle Stephen Waye Onyina. In January 2009, he met and later married Mrs Salome Gyan-Benneh, who lived in the USA. He joined his wife and fellowshipped with the Church of Pentecost, Newark Assembly, New Jersey.
In January 2012, under the instructions of the Lord, he started the Christ Coming Missionary Network – a nondenominational interdenominational organization which is duly registered under the laws of the United States and fully structured. In 2017, he returned to pastor the New York branch of the TOP Ministries International; currently, he has, by the grace of God, started two other branches in New Jersey and North Carolina. On December 15, 2019, he was ordained as an Apostle by the late Peter Owusu Ansah, the President of Power Evangelism Network and General Overseer of Calvary Deliverance Assembly Inc, Bronx – New York. Apostle Gyan-Benneh continued his growth in ministry as he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry at the International School of Ministry, San Bernardino, California.
Like Joshua and Caleb (Joshua 13 – 14), the Lord has put in Apostle’s spirit the passion to raise able men and women through the “Iron Sharpen Iron” and Christ Coming Missionary Network outlets to fulfill our vision and mission. After a period of laid off, mainly due to his absolute commitment to pastoring the TOP Ministries International branch in New York, he desires to relaunch the Christ Coming Missionary Network.
The “RELAUNCH” comes off this Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Garden City Restaurant, 985 B Stuyvesant Ave, Union New Jersey, 07083. Time is 9am sharp. I warmly invite you!
