To our dear Lumban Academy Batch ‘69 graduates! We’re so sad to inform you that another classmate, (and friend), Virgilio Mercado, just passed away on April 24, 2019. He underwent a heart bypass operation a few days before but, unfortunately, he didn’t survive his recovery phase. We’re missing him very much! It’s so painful to know he couldn’t make it to the grand alumni homecoming this coming December. One great comfort though is that he’s now with our LORD. He’d a wonderful personal relationship with our Lord and Savior!

Per the invitation letter I received, our venue for 2019 Grand Reunion will be BG FORTUNELAND, Bagong Silang, Lumban, Laguna. It is at 7:00am that Saturday. Again, it is on February 16, 2019. See you all, my dear batch mates/classmates.

February 16, 2019 - Mark your calendars, dear classmates!

That will surely be a fun time for all of us still alive to enjoy each other, reminiscing our happy moments in high school and creating new and wonderful memories in the future. Let us set aside animosities, worries and past offenses. Let bygones be bygones. We will keep moving on. Remember that we’re not getting any younger anymore...something we need to face squarely and courageously.

We’re all aware that our years are being numbered so let us make a difference in the lives of our fellow classmates, our children and grandchildren, fellow LA alumni and friends. A DIFFERENCE that we will start to contemplate from now on till that very day, the 16th of February 2019.

Let’s work things out to resolve differing opinions. When our time to face our Creator as the Judge comes, let’s all be ready. Don’t allow regrets to creep in during that very moment. Let’s resolve our issues now, or we will NEVER get the chance to resolve them anymore.

By the way, I encourage everyone to honor our chosen Class ‘68-‘69 President, Rodrigo Boy De Lumban, in his decisions (with your unanimous approval).

Marilyn Manalo, our dear classmate, just passed away due to heart attack. Those who would like to give financial support to her family, I encourage you to get in touch with Marilou Ebarvia Ballestero through messenger or viber. She has a son (17 years old) she left behind and an incapacitated brother with kids!
