MILLER’S BRING THE HEAT FOR H.O.F.
It is only natural that male dogs come to mind when we think of great producers of field trial champions. After all, they may have dozens of chances with dozens of females to produce a handful of exceptional field trial competitors. The females only have a very few chances, and if they are competing regularly, even fewer. For a female to whelp eighteen champions, most of them with multiple championships, two national champions and three Purina Dogs of the Year in three different litters, is truly remarkable. I would venture to say it is unheard of! Yet, there was once a classy little female bird finding machine registered as Miller’s Bring the Heat who did exactly that! Even more amazing, its that her second generation is just as impressive! The names of her offspring will stand out in pedigrees for years to come.
I have been fortunate to see Lacy run in many field trials and on various terrain. She would adapt to any type grounds; she was a natural bird dog and you could tell she really loved her job. She has passed these traits down the line and the quality of bird dogs on the ground today are better for it. One could argue that not since Shadow Oak Bo has a dog made such an impact on his or her respective breed.
For what it is worth, I humbly highly endorse Miller’s Bring the Heat for the Field Trial Hall of Fame.
