Thursday, May 7, is the 12th annual Scoops of Thanks Day at Culver’s. Guests of Culver’s who donate $1 to a local FFA chapter will receive a scoop of fresh frozen custard. This year, the day will feature a brand-new, agricultural-inspired flavor of the day: Blue Barn Brownie.

The FFA assisted with the annual Petting Zoo! Thank you to all of the members and their parents that brought animals and made this event a success! Our chapter taught over 500 elementary students about different animal industries, drone and other ag technology, agriculture safety, and students even planted their own vegetables to take home for their own garden! Congratulations to the two South Central FFA Envirothon teams today! They competed in the NW Regional Envirothon competition where students have studied about and are tested on their knowledge and skills pertaining to water and soil conservation, aquatic plants and animals, forest management, wildlife conservation, and a current issue (non-point source pollution). The top team, Team J.A.M.E.S. placed 3rd overall and our brand new team the Barnyard Bandits placed 6th in their very first envirothon competition! Amazing job by all who competed and enjoyed this incredible hands-on learning experience!
