Tri-County Model Railroad Club

The Tri-County Model Railroad Club was incorporated on December 7, 1970 and at the time was located in Kenosha, Wis until December of 2007. In April of 2008, the club moved to it's new facility now located in the town of Union Grove, Wis., which is an ideal location for the club and our members with ample room to operate and for guests to view the layout. Initially the club ran as a conventional D

C block system but when we moved to our present location it was converted to the NCE DCC operating system. We adopted an upper midwest theme to our layout which allows us to be more of an industrial type of layout and to have an assortment of sidings and industries to move around rolling stock. The TCMRRC has taken this approach rather than going with a certain time period which allows members to be more diverse with their interests in the hobby. Our club functions include monthly meetings, work nights, operating sessions and open houses. All open houses are held on Saturdays and run in conjunction with activities ocurring in the Village of Union Grove. In the past the club has hosted layout tours for the 75th NMRA Convention and also for the Niagara Division (Canada) NMRA during the 2011 Trainfest that is held in Milwaukee, Wis.
