Yakima County 4-H 4-H is for everybody: kids in the country, kids in the city and kids everywhere in-between! All youth from kindergarten through high school are welcome.

4-H is a community of young people learning leadership, community service, and life skills. As the premier youth development program of Washington State University, 4-H provides research-based curriculum to over 90,000 youth statewide with the help of 4-H Staff and nearly 6,000 dedicated adult volunteers. Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination. Evidence of no

Calling all graduating seniors involved in the West Valley Fair! 🎓

The West Valley Fair Senior Essay Contest is now open! This is your opportunity to reflect on your fair experiences, share how the fair has impacted your life, and highlight your future goals.

Each eligible applicant will receive a $200 scholarship add-on to help support their future plans!

📝 Open to graduating high school seniors who have participated in the West Valley Fair for at least one year prior to graduation. Open to both 4-H & FFA members.

Did you know that while livestock exhibits are limited to Upper Valley participants, Blue Barn (Still Life) exhibits are open to youth from across Yakima County? 🎉

🐴Saddle Up for the 64th Annual Washington State Jr Horse Show!🍀

Join 4-H youth from across the state at the Grant County Fairgrounds, June 25–28, for four exciting days packed with clinics, competition, horsemanship, and fun! Whether you love gaming, dressage, trail, ranch horse, reining, English, Western, or public presentations — there’s something for everyone! Enter early as entries must be postmarked by June 18th.

Friday, June 26: Gaming, Trail, Presentations & Costume Class
Saturday, June 27: 4-H Dressage, Performance, English, Driving & Horse Judging

Silent Auction supporting show expenses

The Small Animal Fair Clinic is coming up on June 6 in Enumclaw!
June 6, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Enumclaw Expo Center – Small Animal Barn

This free clinic is hosted by the King County 4‑H Fair Superintendents and is open to all. Information is suitable for Open Class and FFA contests.

Participants will have opportunities to learn and practice judging and oral reasons, animal handling, showmanship, public speaking, biosecurity, grooming, and fair preparation for rabbits, cavies, poultry, and other small animals.
