Tri County Surge 14u is hitting the road this weekend for the NY Pride 8th Annual Summer Smackdown and we are ready to take on some of the top competition in the region! 💪💙💚

Softball is about sisterhood! Between coaches and players- we are ready to come together and help grow not only our field IQ, level of play and and confidence.. but also the bond of athletes. The coaches are collaborating, the 14’s are leading and the 11’s are growing. Girls who play sports become women who lead.

The girls showed up this weekend ready to play! We unfortunately were 1 of 2 teams that had to do all 4 games on Saturday and just couldn’t rally quick enough! Emma was picked for MVP in game 1 for her athletic ability and aggressiveness behind the plate. Game 2 was Kash for her big hits/plays in CF! Zoey was picked for game 3 for her big 💣’s to the outfield and Kash again for game 4 for making plays after taking a line drive on the mound.
The girls were on a mission this morning for bracket play and made it to semi-finals where they fell 10-9 in the last minute of the last inning of the game to a team that went on to take 1st.

The team is young but the future is SO BRIGHT for this group! They’re making plays and building their skills with every game.

It’s tourney weekend!! We have been prepping and working with the older girls in the organization to keep our progress rolling. When everyone comes together for all the girls wearing the jersey, big things happen 💚💙🥎🌊

We had an incredible weekend of softball! Not all wins are in the hardware, but in how the game progresses. We are proud of our girls for holding their own against some really tough competition- faced mostly all true 12u teams and had some learning moments. There’s always something to be learned in mistakes and errors and the girls are shrinking the margin with every game.

The girls got to cheer on our 12u team- who won the championship!- our 12u coach gave some pep talks about the development year we’re in, our 12u came and pumped them up during their games, and Em found a new shoe-tyer who ties “the best shoe laces this side of the Mississippi” and you guys know everyone helps tie them cleats, so what a compliment!

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible with all the hard work- it does not go unnoticed!

First and foremost- big shoutout to our favorite group of moms!! Always coming in clutch with snacks, laughter and endless support. I am thankful for you! 🥰❤️🫶🏼
This weekend was a learning curve! We got rained out Saturday and today faced some good teams. Of course we traveled two hours to play our favorite neighboring team- OVL 11u who was played in the championship and won (way to go girls!)- then went on to playing two Ohio teams going 1-2 for the day. We made some errors and made some really great plays, stayed together as a team and lifted each other up, I am incredibly proud of the growth we are seeing. And that’s what this game is all about 🥰
We will see you all this coming weekend for our annual Surge into Spring tournament!
