Our goal as Union City Youth Council is to meet at least every other week-twice a month. This group will consist of young people ages 14-18 and any alumni (people who have graduated from this program but still wish to help). These people will consist of any residents within Union City, Burlington, Athens, etc., that attend Union City Community Schools. Together we will address local youth needs, assist in volunteer opportunities, assist in fun developmental activities, direct grantmaking towards scholarship opportunities, and voice our opinions on certain matters regarding our community as well as our fellow peers! Union City Youth Council is dedicated to improving our community by involving youth in the visions/decision-making that takes place to be able to make them feel heard and give them a voice.
