🐾 Meet Charlie & Cooper 🐾

Sometimes the sweetest little souls simply need a little extra time to bloom.

These adorable mini Dachshund boys came to us having experienced very little of the world around them. Basic things many dogs take for granted were completely new to them. They had little exposure to handling, socialization, and everyday experiences, and because of that, learning to trust people and build confidence has been a journey.

Since arriving in rescue, these boys have been working hard learning that people can be safe, gentle, and kind.

And beneath that uncertainty? There are two incredibly sweet, funny, snuggly little guys waiting to shine.

Charlie and Cooper absolutely adore each other. They play together constantly, zoom around the yard like tiny little rockets with legs, and help build confidence in one another every single day. They truly bring out the best in each other.

Once these boys begin to trust you, their personalities start showing up in the best ways. You see the silly Dachshund antics, the happy little faces, the playful energy, and those moments that make you suddenly understand why people become completely obsessed with this breed.

But we also want to be honest because setting dogs up for success matters.

These boys are not “plug and play” dogs and would not be a good fit for first-time dog owners. Dachshunds are known for being loyal, intelligent, funny, and full of personality, but they are also famously stubborn little thinkers who like to make their own decisions. Charlie and Cooper need a patient adopter who understands that trust isn’t built overnight and is willing to let them move at their own pace.

We will consider separating them for the right home; however, we truly believe they would do best adopted together or placed into homes with another very friendly, confident, understanding dog that can help continue building their confidence.

And because we know how special their bond is, if a family chooses to adopt both boys together, we will waive the adoption fee on one of them, meaning you get two best friends for one adoption fee. ❤️

For the right family, these little guys are going to be incredibly rewarding companions. Hidden beneath those tiny legs and adorable faces are two sweet hearts just waiting for someone willing to show them that the world can be a wonderful place.

🐾 Everyone help us welcome Mylah to Canine Partners Program ! 🐾

This sweet, silly, curly little mop is a 5 1/2 month old Saint Bernard/Standard Poodle mix, and one thing we know for sure… she is going to be ONE BIG GIRL when she grows up! ❤️

Mylah is full of personality, sweetness, and laughs. She has mastered being adorable, mastered making people smile, and mastered puppy shenanigans… obedience, however… well… let’s just say she’s still accepting applications for that skill set. 😂

This goofy girl truly has no idea what behaving means right now, but don’t worry because she is headed into our Paws in Prison program where she’ll learn all the important things. House manners, obedience, structure, confidence, and all the good stuff are waiting for this curly-haired tornado. 🌪️

📌 Now for the part that may disappoint some of you…

Before Mylah even unpacked her imaginary suitcase, this sweet girl already had hearts melting everywhere. She currently has two pre-approved applications interested in adopting her! So while she isn’t officially spoken for yet, she already has two families eagerly waiting in line for a chance at forever.

For now, let’s all give Mylah a warm welcome and enjoy watching her journey unfold! 🐶❤️

🐾 Hi friends, Cinnamon here… and I have something important to say. ❤️

A little while ago things were pretty scary for me. My tiny body had to fight one heck of a battle, and there were moments when things weren’t looking very good. But I dug in my little kitty paws and fought with everything I had.

Today I am so happy to tell you… I AM DOING AMAZING! 🎉🐱

I have my energy back, I’m feeling amazing, and I’m back to doing important cat things like exploring, playing, and making everyone around me smile.

I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my tiny heart to every person who supports Canine Partners Program Inc. Without your donations, support, shares, and kindness… I truly may not be here today.

Rescue is not just about saving animals when they first come through the door. Sometimes it’s the unexpected medical care, the late nights, the extra treatments, and fighting for the ones who need us most.

Because of YOU… I got my second chance.

Meet Lucy ❤️

Sometimes life changes in the blink of an eye. Lucy recently lost the only home and person she had ever known after her owner passed away. We immediately began searching for a foster home. A brand new foster joined our team specifically for Lucy, and late today this sweet girl officially joined our rescue family.

Lucy is an 8 year old chunky little Boston Terrier mix with a heart as big as her adorable belly. She is incredibly sweet, but understandably a bit shy right now. Lucy spent her entire life with one elderly person, so the world outside her home has been a pretty small place.

Her foster family already has exciting plans for her. Lucy’s next chapter will include getting healthier, discovering all the exciting sights and smells around her, and going on plenty of “sniffaris” where every blade of grass holds a tiny mystery waiting to be solved 🐾🌸

Lucy also qualifies for our Senior-to-Senior program, so if you know of a senior looking for a loving companion, please let us know. Sometimes the sweetest friendships happen when two old souls find each other.

Lucy will be available for adoption within the next few days. Stay tuned as this little lady begins her newest adventure. 💕

Thank you Union City Pet Hospital for taking me in for an ER visit when I shocked my foster mama with a BIG ole gash! I’m not sharing how or where I got it either 🤷🏻‍♀️. But I was such a good girl I laid there and let them suture me right up!

Help Us Name This Little Guy! 🐶

This adorable little fellow is looking for both a name and a foster home! We were told he is around 6 months old and is a Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix, although we actually think he may be a little older than that. Either way, one thing we do know for sure is he has been absolutely fabulous!

He has been wonderful with all the other dogs and has done great with the kitties too. He is sweet, social, and already charming everyone he meets with that scruffy little face and those “I swear I wasn’t causing trouble” eyes. 😍

He is currently looking for a foster home and will need to complete his neuter before being ready for adoption.

PS- he has a wild haircut right now, he was very matted and flea infested. Now he is flea free and sporting a crazy cut! 😆
