Union City Community Christmas Baskets

As we wrap up the 2025 Christmas Basket season, we’d like to thank the following people for the use of their facility/equipment, time, and/or monetary donations to make this worthy endeavor possible. Because of these fabulous people and organizations, 249 families (936 people) received 348 boxes filled with food this year.

Along with food, our school counselors coordinated with community agencies, businesses, churches, families, and staff to provide gifts and books to many students and families.

*331 children (146 families) received books from Community Unlimited & Friends of the Library
*93 students received gifts from UCHS staff, UCMS staff, First Congregational Church Angel Tree, Our Lady of Fatima Angel Tree, and Union City Rotary
*4 families were adopted by Arcosa, Our Lady of Fatima Women’s Group, and two anonymous donors
*Countyline Coonhunters Assoc - monetary donation of support

We sincerely apologize if any person or organization was not recognized. Again, we truly appreciate the support of everyone and look forward to working with all of you, and many more, during the 2026 Christmas season.

On Saturday, December 20th, our community gathered together to help families in need during the holiday season. We were able to support 249 families (936 people) with 348 boxes filled to the brim with food. This is truly a community effort and we appreciate the support of everyone involved. Union City Christmas Basket Project volunteers have been very busy over the last two days. We appreciate Jacob Wasikowski, Korbin Young, Alan Cross, girls and boys varsity basketball teams, UCHS National Honor Society, Mrs. Allen's class, and the high school students who helped pick up, sort, and pack food boxes. See you all tomorrow for delivery at 9am in the UCHS cafeteria!

Annual Christmas Baskets season is upon us! We have been blessed with many donations over the years, and would like to grow the number of people who can give by making it easier (even if just smaller amounts: $5, $10, $500? Any contribution helps!!) .

The following link will redirect you to the Union City Congregation Church, the official organizer of the UC Christmas Baskets, giving portal where your donation will be specifically directed towards the annual Baskets Project. Although the Congregational Church is the sponsor, it is through strong partnerships with individuals (like you), other churches, and many community programs/agencies to make this a success. Community Christmas Basket 2024 has wrapped up for the year. We thank everyone for their support – without all of you this all would not be possible. Some quick stats of our program (more to follow):

• 247 names were received
• 940 individuals were supported by the food baskets
• 341 books were received by children
• 87 students received gifts
• 4 families were adopted
