On 4/9/26, a senseless act of violence tragically took the life of Deputy Randy Hoppert of the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.
Deputy Hoppert tragically gave his life while responding to assist fellow deputies who were actively under fire from a suspect.
Deputy Hoppert acted swiftly and courageously, placing himself in harm’s way to protect his partners and fulfill his oath. His actions embody the very highest standards of our profession—selflessness, bravery, and an unwavering commitment to others.
