2023 Year End and Winter 2024 Campaign
Dear Donor(s),
We wanted to reach out to you to first say thank you for all that you have done to support our
mission to “end Veteran homelessness”, and to update you on the work that we are currently
doing to expand our mission’s impact.
The first 11 months of 2023, TJH mission has found and supported over 760 Veterans.
Our Veteran Outreach Team has assisted 97 Veterans to be permanently housed.
Over 84 Veterans have been transported to medical appointments, with the ability to help Veterans to attend and leverage healthcare support to over 573 medical appointments.
Our mission has assisted in community support of Veterans to provide 660 food boxes to Veterans in need.
These “ending Veteran homeless” projects have a price tag. Without your financial support TJH
cannot reach our mission goals.
The following are the areas of impact that we are seeking assistance as this year comes to the close.
Rummage Sale Store – In 2023 TJH opened a thrift store in Union City for the purpose of
managing donations for homeless Veterans and to provide a service to the community in a way
that directly impacts the lives of the Veterans we serve.
Richmond, Indiana: Transitional Housing Facility – TJH is preparing to contract with Dayton VA
to open a 5-bed Residential Transitional Facility for both males and females in Wayne County.
Projected date for opening is February 2024
Naples, Florida Veteran Outreach Team (VOT) – TJH expanded their VOT program and services
to Naples Florida. We are currently working with Collier County First responders to formalize a
community project to find, build relationships and connect homeless and at-risk Veterans to
community resources to stabilize housing and prevent homelessness.
Our Year-End Fundraising plea for 2023 and winter 2024 is highlighted below. This is the
individual fundraising goals that we would like to achieve with your help:
1.) $45,000.00 – VOT Year End Campaign supporting our community outreach and
Rummage Sale projects.
2.) $30,000.00 – VOT Richmond, Indiana 5-bedroom facility startup $30,000.
3.) $50,000.00 – VOT Naples Florida expansion; Collier County Community Veteran Project
It is our hope that you will be able to give again in support of one or more of the projects. Maybe
consider a monthly pledge instead of a single one-time donation. The Veterans we serve, and our
staff and volunteers thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
