After much reflection, we are sharing that we are closing this chapter of the nonprofit side of Cloud of Witness Ranch.
Last September, the board voted to close the nonprofit. Following the unexpected passing of one of our co-founders, it became too difficult to maintain by his wife. This decision was not made lightly, but with deep care, prayer, and consideration.
From the beginning, our name was rooted in Hebrews 12:1 — “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses…” This verse reminded us that we are never alone. Through this ranch, we truly experienced what that meant.
We believe Cloud of Witness Ranch was meant to share the powerful connection a horse can have on an individual’s journey to healing. Because of you, that vision came to life in ways we will never forget. We witnessed courage, growth, and quiet moments of healing that will stay with us forever.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who supported and donated to us…you made this mission possible.
Our donated horse, Wyatt, is now continuing to serve others at a Christian camp in Missouri. He is so loved there and is already making a difference in many lives, and that brings us so much peace.
Our physical resources have been passed along to our mentor facility, Strides to Success, so that the work can continue to impact others.
While the nonprofit chapter is closing, the mission of this ranch, now returning to a family farm…remains the same: to connect individuals with the healing power of one of God’s greatest gifts… the horse.
As we close this chapter, we encourage you to carry this forward: continue loving one another well, continue showing up for each other, and continue leaning on the strength of your community. Be that “cloud of witnesses” for those around you.
This page will be taken down soon to avoid confusion, but the Cloud of Witness family ranch group will remain active. You are welcome to join and follow the ongoing journey of the horses we have all come to love and support.
