Well I became owner of another .30 WCF today. Beautiful, shoots great, but is as heavy as Dad’s old crowbar. I may see if it’s still effective on deer in a week or two. At any rate I got a good deal and it matches my two Golden Boys in .22 LR and .22 magnum. Leupold 1x5 sitting in the rings.

We’ve used a lot of different brands of feeders and game cameras over the years, with both good and bad results. One in particular comes to mind as I am trying to get it to run without success. I’ll just say this: Don’t buy anything that has Boss Buck stamped on it apart from possibly their gravity feeders. In fact, Boss Buck should just stick to those, as they damn sure can’t build anything dependable with a motor or timer. Right down there on dead bottom with “Wildgame Innovations”. Got the cool name and logo, but that’s about it.

It’s amazing the things that turn up in your hunting backpack when you check it for the upcoming season. I had enough jerky, m&m’s, cosmic brownies, and cheese crackers left in mine to get me thru next week if I had the fortitude to actually ingest any of it. And my long lost rangefinder turned up there as well. Idk where it had been as I had checked that pack 10 times but it’s back now.
