The Feeny Files final pupdate from his family 🩷🩷
“Phoenix is officially Bolt now, although we still call him Beanie, and that nickname is never going away. He answers to both, and somehow he already knows exactly what we mean either way.
The name Bolt couldn’t be more perfect. This boy runs through his new yard like a bolt of lightning. He loves being outside, running around the property, playing by the pond, exploring, and finding his way into every adventure.
One of the sweetest things has been watching Bolt and Zuul become brothers. Bolt absolutely loves his special-needs brother, and the two of them have already formed such a special bond. Seeing Zuul have a buddy again has been one of the greatest gifts.
Bolt is also very much a Daddy’s boy. Wherever Dad is, Bolt is usually right there. He loves cuddling with Paigie, too, and has quickly figured out that she is one of his favorite places to settle in when he’s ready for some quiet time.
He loves helping outside with the chickens, supervising whatever we’re doing, and apparently he has decided that helping Mommy with her YouTube page is also part of his job description. As you can see in this picture, he is always ready to be a helper.
And somehow, this boy is ALWAYS on his best behavior. He is smart, goofy, loving, gentle, and just seems to fit into our family like he was meant to be here.
We want to send a huge thank you to Ever After Acres for pairing us with what truly feels like the perfect dog for our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better match, and we are so grateful they trusted us with this sweet boy.
Bringing Bolt home does not replace Chase. Chase will always have his own irreplaceable place in our hearts.
But sometimes a new dog doesn’t come into your life to replace the one you lost. Sometimes they come along because there is another dog who needs a friend, a family that still has love to give, and a new chapter waiting to be written.
Bolt, Beanie, Feeny Bo Beeny...whatever we call you, you are home forever 💙
And we are so happy you found us.”
