We’re opening submissions for Q***r Ecologies — a group exhibition exploring relationships to land, identity, and how we live in connection with the world around us.

This show is rooted in the understanding that nature doesn’t follow rigid categories.
It transforms, adapts, and depends on interconnection. We’re asking: what can q***r ways of relating to land teach us about how to live, survive, and care for each other?

We are especially excited to receive work from BIPOC, trans, and two-spirit artists.

📆 Deadline: June 1
📍 Exhibition: August, Ukiah, CA

As the year turns, we’re pausing the way the land does — to rest, to compost what’s been lived, and to notice what took root.

This year at Trans Bloom, over 200 people gathered across camps, retreats, stewardship days, and creative convenings. Together, we offered more than 1,000 volunteer hours and raised $31,000 in community support. We learned with the land, soaked and rested, opened the ranch, made art without urgency, practiced mutual aid, and listened — to each other and to the forest itself.

These eight moments are not separate wins. They’re threads in the same fabric: trans and BIPOC people making space for rest, creativity, strategy, and survival — together.

As we look toward 2026, there are real ways to help shape what comes next:
• Give today — we’re just 5 new donors away from reaching our year-end goal. If you can, please give and share.
• Offer your time — we’re welcoming support with social media, land stewardship, event logistics, and fundraising.
• Join our organizing team — help steward this work from the inside.
• Partner with us — host an event on the land or invite Trans Bloom into your Bay Area gathering.

Thank you to everyone who showed up in ways big and small. If you were part of any of this, you’re part of the story. If you’re just finding us, there’s room to grow together.

Also thank you to all of our partners this year who nurtured and supported us in realizing bold visions: GenderJustice CA, Emergence, Q***rly Complex, Trans March, and Q***r Rebels.

Also, deep gratitude to the funders who made so much of this possible, including
Horizons Foundation, Mendocino Community Foundation, Trans Justice Funding Project, and Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

Rooted in resilience. Still becoming.

In a year of crisis, trans joy is resistance. In the face of escalating violence, BIPOC and Trans healing, creativity, and belonging isn’t optional — it’s urgent.

Every volunteer clearing brush, every artist performing, every donor giving what they can: are continuing a lineage of resilience that has carried our people through generations.

This Giving Tuesday, will you be one of the 15 who step up to help us double our supporters? Whether it’s $5 or $500, your gift helps us grow the spaces where we can breathe, create, and imagine futures beyond survival.

This year has reminded us just how fragile and fierce trans life can be. As healthcare disappears, violence rises, and the world keeps pushing us to the margins, we keep creating beauty anyway.

Trans Bloom is co-creating healing spaces, artist residencies, land stewardship, and community rituals that help our people rest, imagine, and rebuild.

Our communities deserve a future—and we’re planting it together.

Help raise $1,000/month in sustaining donations to keep building:
✨ Become a Bloom Tender (monthly donor) today and help us grow what the world tries to erase
✨ Share this video to help our story take root.

🌳💥 Big news from Tranifest Ranch: a massive oak branch came crashing down on the house yesterday, punching right through the roof. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the cleanup is huge. Insurance companies are jerking us around and told us they won’t cover the tree and debris removal—so now we’re facing the cost of getting it chopped up and cleared before it rains and more damage piles on.

Tranifest Ranch is where we host retreats, residencies, and gatherings of trans + BIPOC artists. To keep it safe and thriving, we need your help.

💸 Your $$ goes directly toward removing the fallen oak and repairing what’s been damaged.

Together, we can turn this storm into soil for what’s next.

I had the deep joy of attending San Francisco’s Trans Day of Visibility event with , one of Trans Bloom’s incredible advisory board members.

In a world that often tries to erase us, being in community—laughing, crying, dancing, and holding space together—felt like a powerful act of resistance and renewal. It was especially meaningful to be there with so many visionary trans leaders from across the city, all showing up in their brilliance to build something beautiful together.

A huge shoutout to Niko Storment for organizing such a deeply thoughtful and affirming event. Trans Bloom was honored to be one of many community partners, and it filled my heart to witness the care, creativity, and collaboration flowing from every corner of the park.

Visibility, for us, means more than just being seen—it means being supported, celebrated, and connected. And being in community with other trans-led groups reminds me that we are not alone in this work. We’re building something bigger than any one of us.
