On Friday evening Hospice of Ukiah held a showing of Photographs by Dr. Robert Werra at the Medium Gallery. We want to thank all Doc’s friends and supporters for joining us and adopting over 40 framed and matted photos. Mrs. Marlene Werra was delighted to meet and talk to so many people who knew and loved Dr. Werra and we hope somehow he also enjoyed the fun. Thank you to Deep Valley Arts for the wonderful space, Husch Vineyards, Graziano Wines and Frey vineyards and our fun bartender, John Reagh and to the wonderful band “Fair Wind”. Thanks also to: Black Oak Coffee, Patrona’s. Dr. Jon Portnoff, Costco, Safeway, Ukiah Paper Supply, Perla & Genaro Gonzalez, Jamie Lynn and Angela Eaves-Lewis, Janice Keeton, Judy Nelson, Dr. Jo Ann Rosenfeld, Martha Barra, Andrea Prophet, Marilyn Simpson. And of course, to all the volunteers who helped with this wonderful Tribute to our late beloved leader, Dr. Robert Werra.

Please join us on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Medium Gallery in the Pear Tree Center from 5:30 - 8:30 for a celebration of the photography and the life of Dr. Robert Werra. Dr. Werra helped found Hospice of Ukiah 42 years ago - we lost him in June this year, but he leaves a legacy of an amazing agency, and thousands of beautiful photos. Come enjoy and maybe take one home for a donation to Hospice of Ukiah. Music by Fair Wind, plus libation and food and a small silent auction.

A member of our staff at the Thrift & Gift has advised me that mention in the Journal says that the store is closed on Mondays. This very old information. Our correct hours/days are:

Monday through Friday 10- 5 and Saturdays 10 – 4. Our donations Bay is manned Mon/Tue/Sat. 8 – 12. Donations at other times must be cleared by staff – call 707 462-3141. Tuesdays are Senior 25% off days, First Saturday is 50% storewide sale and 3rd Sat. is Junior 25% off for people 14 – 21.

We welcome shoppers to come get bargains and help us to keep free and unrestricted Hospice and Palliative Care for everyone in our community.
