Employers Council of Mendocino County

Employers Council of Mendocino County To inform and persuade local governments at all levels, that reasonable government, financial or regulatory burden, benefits the overall community.

Business owners united to organize the Employers Council in 1996 to represent the community's economic base of privately owned businesses. A core position of the Employers Council is acting to care for a thriving business community that is essential for improving the standard of living and quality of life for county residents. The cumulative business knowledge of the Employers Council is put to wo

rk in support of local businesses. We constantly promote good public policy for economic development. We remind locally elected officials that the economy is our businesses and the community benefits from thriving businesses. Businesses provide jobs and household income for families in Mendocino County. Charitable causes, like youth sports, often receive financial support from businesses. Essential public services, police and fire protection, operate with tax revenues which increase when businesses and their employees prosper. Those day-to-day realities of living are the basis for the Employers Council to oppose excessive, duplicative, and "Job-Killing" regulations. We represent the business community before elected leaders because we understand what it takes to run a business, often they do not, and you are too busy running yours.
