Welcome to the 2017 - Ukiah Triathlon at Lake Mendocino. - Now in it's 25th year, we are excited to have the triathlon at Lake Mendocino the swim, bike start, bike finish and the entire run will be within the Lake Mendocino Recreation Area. Located in picturesque Mendocino County, the Ukiah Triathlon starts with a 1/2 mile open water swim in Lake Mendocino, followed by a 20.5 mile loop bike ride on quiet rural roads adjacent to Lake Mendocino and concludes with a 3.1 mile run (with a few hills) within the Lake Mendocino recreation area. Average race day temperature ranges from a low of 55 F to a high of 89 F. The average water temperature is 72 degrees F. The Ukiah Triathlon is once again the second leg of the Mendocino Triple Crown. Those who complete the Scary Monster of the Mendocino Monster (May22), the Ukiah Triathlon as an individual and the Hilly Harvest Ride (September 25) will be awarded a custom commemorative mug highlighting their accomplishment.
