Some highlights this month:
✏ Our office will be closed on 10/8 and 10/9 due to an all staff training
✏ New Triple P Groups beginning on 10/9 from 10am-12pm and on 10/19 from 1pm-3pm

We love Mendo LEAP and everything they do for the children in our community. We are so grateful to collaborate and support such a wonderful agency ❤️

A very special thank you to First 5 Mendocino and Raise & Shine Family Resource Center! 💛

We are so grateful to share that First 5 Mendocino and Raise & Shine Family Resource & Empowerment Center have renewed the Redwood Coast Regional Center Sibling Pass Grant for a second year, allowing us to continue providing sponsored Mendo LEAP Play Passes for siblings of Redwood Coast Regional Center clients.

It is so important for all people, no matter their developmental ability, to be included and participate in their community. We also want to make sure their siblings feel included too! When one child receives sponsored access to Mendo LEAP, these sibling passes help make it possible for the whole family to play, connect, and enjoy Mendo LEAP together, without the added cost of admission for siblings.

Thank you, First 5 Mendocino and Raise & Shine, for continuing to invest in local families and helping us create more opportunities for siblings to learn, explore, adapt, and play together. 💛

We are so thankful for another year of this partnership!

📕Triple P Positive Parenting Group
🧸For parents who have a child ages 0-12
🧸Learn how to manage misbehavior
🧸Encourage behavior you like through rules and routines

📗Triple P Transitions Group
✏For parents who are experiencing separation or divorce
✏Learn coping strategies for stressful situations
✏Developing plans to increase co-parenting effectiveness

California School for the Deaf is offering free family ASL classes for families with deaf children in northern California.

The 2026 fall session runs September through November.

Beginner classes are on Tuesdays, September 15th to November 17th from 10:00-11:00am on Zoom.

Advanced classes are on Thursdays, September 17th to November 19th from 1:00-2:00pm on Zoom.
