Now that the first annual North Bay Artisan Showcase & Faire is in the books, I want to throw out some love and appreciation to the people who made it all possible. First and foremost, the man who has been there every single year of this adventure. Martin Scheel.. he brings the gear and delivers on the talent. He is all about local music and local events.. and all the years of Rising Stars and this event would never have happened without him. Martan, you are amazing! Next is David L. Olmstead.. from donating his drums to be beat on to judging, to handling the stage, to being my sounding board.. Davey is there..and he always makes me feel like he is honored to be asked to help.. Davey, I am honored to have you involved. The guy in the picture with Davey is none other than brewmaster Scott Jones.. talented musician and staunch supporter. We are connected now Scott.. thank you for being there! The woman on a mission is truly a woman whose mission in life is to care for others.. and I cant be prouder of her. Danilla Sands, you are an inspiration. It has been my pleasure to watch you grow up.. and now look at you soar! You are amazing sweetheart! Next I get to talk about several people who are very near and dear to my heart. Stephanie Thornhill Dunken is always 100% in and 100% supportive.. no matter what I get into, I just know that she will be there no matter what. The community is so blessed to have her and I am blessed to call her one of my dearest friends. Dana Froneberger and Matt Froneberger words cant express how this power couple continues to amaze and astound me. Dana is one of the strongest and most capable women I know and Matt is amazing. I know with them, I can say "this needs to be done" and it is handled. No doubt in my mind. Jacque Heimer has been a blessing in my world. I met her through one of her exes and we just clicked.. we still do. So now she is stuck with me. She has an amazing, giving, loving heart and she makes my world a better place. Now for the real reasons this happens.. I sent a call out for talent and I received these messages of "when and where?" Douglas Johns not only makes a mean hot sauce but he sings and strums like you wouldnt believe. I loved hearing "wow this guy is good!" from the crowd while he performed. Clay Hawkins never ceases to amaze me with his talents. I know when he plays it comes from the heart and the audience sees it too. Steve Meloche gets his inspiration from the love of his life and he shares their story with the audience. He was joined with an impromptu performance by Gino Jacomella and I think they made a pretty good pair! I hope to see more of them playing together. Speaking of a duo, November Rose always warms my heart and supports the local music scene. Hilary and Christiane, thank you for supporting the dreams! And finishing out the day was my friends II Big. These guys bring the classic rock and keep your toes tapping.. Thanks Ken Ingels, Aubrey Papa Hansen, Steve Chatneuf and bunny snake man.. Indiana Slim. Thank you all for an amazing year.. I love you all and I feel blessed!

Less than 2 weeks away! MendoLake Complex Fire Relief needs your help! They are working on an awesome pie in the face booth but they need people to sit in and get pies thrown at them for charity. Contact Danilla Sands for details and schedule.. Help keep the best fire survivor resource center open.. Join Mayor Mo Mulheren and sit in the chair or buy the pie to throw.. Either way, it will be neighbors helping neighbors!
