Freshman wrestler Ava Henry is entering her high school career with big goals and high expectations. Last season, Ava decided to fully commit to wrestling, and the results spoke for themselves.

Ava is an aggressive wrestler who won a number of different tournaments and finished the regular season with only two losses. She finished her junior high career with an impressive second-place finish at the OAC Junior High State Wrestling Tournament. Ava is currently the first and only Claymont girl to reach the OAC State finals.

Ava likes to set big goals and then uses her incredible work ethic to achieve them. She is also a regular at our 5:00 a.m. wrestling workouts.

Off the mat, Ava set junior high records in track and is also a member of the high school volleyball team.

We are looking for more girls to join Ava on our youth, junior high, and high school wrestling teams. You can check out girls wrestling every Friday at the Claymont Stadium from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. This is free of charge and open to all girls in grades K–12.
