💚 Thank You, Dogwood Church! 💚

We are incredibly grateful to Dogwood Church for their recent food drive and generous financial support. As a mission of Dogwood Church, we are continually blessed by a church family that lives out generosity in tangible ways.

Through this drive, more than 3,000 pounds of food and household essentials were donated, and additional financial gifts will allow us to purchase over 4,000 more pounds of food at our cost. This amazing outpouring helps keep our shelves stocked and our doors open to neighbors facing hardship.

Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, and served. You are making a real difference!

Food drives provide a dependable source of support that helps keep our doors open and our shelves stocked week after week. If your group is looking for a meaningful way to serve the community, a food drive is a simple yet powerful opportunity to make a lasting impact. Contact Bongi Queen at [email protected] to learn more or to schedule your food drive.

🎶 A Night of Music, Worship, and Generosity 🎶

We are deeply grateful to Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church for once again hosting a beautiful benefit choir concert in support of the Real Life Center. Led by Dr. Alex Trygstad, Director of Worship and Music, the evening featured powerful old and new hymns—some written by Dr. Trygstad himself—sung with excellence and heartfelt worship by the Carriage Lane Choir.

This year’s concert also included the outstanding Konos Academy Choir, led by Chorus Director Ray Lewis, whose voices added depth and energy to an already inspiring night.

Admission to the concert benefited the Real Life Center through financial and non‑perishable food donations, and we were honored to have our Executive Director, Greg Georgianni, share briefly during the program. The sanctuary was completely full—a beautiful testimony to a generous, caring community.

Thank you to Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, Dr. Trygstad, both choirs, and everyone who attended and gave so generously. What a wonderful evening of worship and support for our neighbors in need. 💚

❗Group Service Opportunities❗

🫐 U‑Pick 4 Others: Blueberry Season Is Almost Here! 🫐

This summer, your group can serve together in a hands‑on, meaningful way by picking blueberries in the Real Life Center Orchard for neighbors facing food insecurity.

Our U‑Pick 4 Others program invites groups to help harvest blueberries (and later, muscadines) that will go directly to Real Life Center clients. It’s a beautiful opportunity to serve side by side, build community, and show Christ’s love through action.

📅 June – mid‑July
🫐 Blueberry Picking Days: Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday
⏰ 8:00–10:00 AM
👥 Group Size: 10–25 people

We are scheduling groups now, and summer dates fill quickly!

If your church group, small group, business team, or organization would like to serve by picking blueberries for neighbors in need, please contact

🛒 Facing food insecurity? We’re here to help.

The Real Life Center Market is open once a week to all clients enrolled in our Introductory or Full Programs, offering a variety of nutritious options—including fresh produce, bread, and other perishable items—to help supplement your food needs.

🍎 Much of the food comes from generous donations through local grocery partners like Aldi, Kroger, Publix, Sprouts, Target, and Walmart, coordinated by the Atlanta Community Food Bank. During the summer and fall, we also share fresh, locally grown produce from our Real Life Center Orchard and nearby farmers.

💚 Our hope is that this weekly support helps relieve financial pressure, allowing families to redirect resources toward other essential living expenses—and ultimately move toward a more stable life.

📍 If you or someone you know could benefit, reach out today. We’re here to walk alongside you.

🌟 Spotlight: Adopt-A-Pantry Item Program 🌟

Looking for a simple yet powerful way to make a lasting impact?

The Real Life Center’s Adopt-A-Pantry Item Program invites local churches, businesses, and organizations to “adopt” a specific pantry item—like rice, jelly, or toilet paper—for a set period of time. By committing to keep that item well-stocked, your group helps meet the growing needs of our community.

Since January 2026, the Real Life Center has had 1,127 visits to the food pantry for essentials like canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, beans, cereal, tuna, and household staples such as laundry detergent, toothpaste, shampoo, and more. While we purchase some items and receive donations through food drives, this program helps us maintain a stock of our most popular items.

If your business, church, club, or small group is looking for an impactful way to serve others and build unity, this is it!

💙 Community in Action at Our April Senior Social 💙

We are so grateful to St. Andrew's in the Pines Episcopal Church for hosting the April Senior Social at the Real Life Center. A group of very generous women from the church prepared a delicious breakfast and graciously served the 20 senior Real Life Center clients who attended.

After the meal, laughter filled the room as everyone enjoyed a fun game of Bingo-wonderful time of fellowship and joy.

Thank you, St. Andrews in the Pines, for always being willing to serve the community and for so beautifully caring for our senior neighbors.
