Submersion incidents are time-critical, high-risk events that demand rapid recognition, decisive action, and a strong understanding of pathophysiology. This course is designed to equip EMS providers with the knowledge, skills, and clinical confidence needed to effectively assess, manage, and transport patients experiencing submersion-related emergencies.
Participants will explore the full spectrum of submersion injuries, from brief immersion events to prolonged cardiac arrests, while gaining a deeper understanding of hypoxia, aspiration, laryngospasm, and the cascade that leads to respiratory and cardiac compromise.
This course goes beyond theory. Through case-based discussion and practical application, providers will learn to recognize subtle presentations, avoid common pitfalls, and learn to make critical decisions under pressure.
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 5:00PM EST ON THE DAY OF THE CLASSES. THE CLASS REMINDER AND LOGON INFORMATION WILL BE SENT NO SOONER THAN 12:00 EST ON THE DAY OF THE COURSES
