Our Christ-centered mentoring programs are designed to help kids thrive, because every child matters. They also have fun worship times and daily Bible studies.

The Mentoring Alliance is a Christ-centered, intentionally multi-ethnic ministry. We exist to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope. The TMA staff operates through the three mentoring ministries that together form The Mentoring Alliance:

The Mentoring Alliance After School-Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas provides safe, fun, educational, and enriching after-school programs for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade. Located at 23 different schools throughout East Texas, our after-school programs are designed to benefit the academic, social, physical, spiritual and emotional development of our children. Mentor Connect is the one-on-one volunteer mentoring program of The Mentoring Alliance. Our Mentor Connect Coordinators connect godly, adult volunteer mentors from local area churches with students from targeted local area schools in mutually transforming mentoring relationships. MA Summer Camps is the summer camp program of The Mentoring Alliance. In this exciting summer camp, godly camp counselor mentors lead hundreds of students each and every day. They combat summer learning regression by creating a structured and fun learning environment.

After School is back in full swing across all five of our regions! 🥳

From Tyler, Waco, and Abilene to our newest communities in Longview and Friendswood, students are spending their afternoons learning, building friendships, having fun, and growing alongside caring mentors.

Each day is an opportunity to help students grow academically and personally while sharing the love of Jesus and the hope of the Gospel. We’re grateful to walk alongside students and families and create a place where every child can be known, loved, and encouraged to reach their full potential. 💙

On Friday, Tyler came together for Celebrate the One to celebrate the kids, families, mentors, and partners at the heart of Mentoring Alliance. It’s amazing to see our community rally around the truth that one child, with the right support around them and their family, can be impacted forever.

The room was full, the stories were powerful, and the generosity was overwhelming. Together, we raised $586,000 so that even more kids can experience Summer Camp, After School, and Mentor Connect this year! 🎉

Staff Development Day is such a special opportunity for our full-time staff from all five regions to come together in one place!

Days like this give us the chance to step away from our normal routines, learn alongside one another, strengthen connections across regions, and continue growing together as a team. It’s also a great reminder that while we may serve in different communities and different roles, we’re all working toward the same mission.

We’re incredibly grateful for each person on this team and the passion, dedication, and heart they bring to the work they do every day. We’re better when we’re together, and we loved having the opportunity to invest in our staff and spend this time as one team! 🙌

What an incredible day at Celebrate the One! ❤️

On September 16th, we gathered with community leaders, partners, volunteers, and supporters who share a common belief: every child deserves someone who believes in them. Through powerful stories, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to our community, we celebrated the life-changing impact happening through Mentoring Alliance every day.

Because of people like you, kids in Longview are finding hope, belonging, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive through Summer Camps, After School programs, and Mentor Connect. And together, we're making sure even more children and families experience tangible help and eternal hope.

Big news! 🎉

We are excited to partner with as a recipient of a $250,000 grant aimed at building a healthier future for our community.

Their question was: "What would it take for the youth of Smith County to be more connected with one another, their families, and their community without the use of technology?"

Mentoring Alliance is honored to be part of a cohort that will work together over the next several years to help answer this question and invest in meaningful connections for local youth.

What an incredible day at Moore Middle School! 🎊

Thanks to a partnership between Mentoring Alliance, Senator Bryan Hughes, and AT&T, 50 campers received laptops to support their educational journey. These devices will provide valuable tools for learning, creativity, and future success.

Right at Home does so much more than provide in-home care and assistance, they are also helping change the lives of kids in our community. Through their generous support, 100 kids were able to attend Mentoring Alliance Summer Camp at Moore Middle School.
