Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation The Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation focuses on providing help to wounded warriors who live in Texas in 2007.

The Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation was created by a trip made by Dick Goetz, PGA golf professional, to Camp LeJeune, N.C. While working with Wounded Warriors on the driving range, Dick realized that learning golf skills was therapeutic and that the camaraderie of Wounded Warriors spending time together away from their medical environment was a positive benefit. In 2008 the first Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation Pro-Am was held in Tyler, Texas. Seven Wounded Warriors participated in a one-day event. The Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation has hosted activities for more that 100 Wounded Warriors in Tyler and raised over one million dollars to support their needs. In 2010, The Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation became a non-profit organization, receiving its 501 (c) (3) status.

This 4th of July we celebrate more than fireworks and festivities, we celebrate 250 years of the American spirit.
On July 4, 1776, our nation's founders declared that liberty, freedom, and self-government were ideals worth fighting for. For two and a half centuries, generations of brave men and women have answered the call to protect those ideals, ensuring that the freedoms we enjoy today endure for future generations.
As we commemorate America's 250th anniversary, the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation proudly honors the wounded veterans and military families whose sacrifices remind us that freedom has never been free. Their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to our country embody the very values upon which this nation was built.
Let us pause to reflect on the blessings of living in a free nation, remember those who gave everything in its defense, and express our deepest gratitude to the service members and veterans who continue to stand as guardians of our liberty.
From all of us at the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation, we wish you and your family a safe, meaningful, and patriotic Fourth of July.

Happy Independence Day!

Here’s to 250 years of freedom, sacrifice, and the enduring American spirit.
