Due to the Corona virus and the needs required to make every attempt to prevent the spread among the people across our state and our great country The Camp Fannin Association has cancelled the Reunion and Annual meeting scheduled for April 17 & 18,2020. Cool story...and another member to add to the Camp Fannin Roll of Honor.

The sounds of mortars exploding and machine gun fire were a fact of life for part of Smith County in the last years of World War II, when a massive training camp occupied part of the northeast reaches of the county.

Every dollar you give to preserve our statue and plaza in front of the Health Science Center will be
matched up to the $1,250.00.

After such a long struggle to recapture the Camp Fannin Roll of Honor I can say that though it is a work in progress you may now view the roll as it is reconstructed.

We add names of Camp Fannin veterans who died in uniform during World War II and make corrections continuously to our Roll of Honor as new information is provided.
