🍂 Fall is here, and there’s still SO MUCH FUN ahead with Cub Scout Pack 369 in Tyler, Texas!

Have you been thinking about Cub Scouts for your child? It's not too late to join! We welcome boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and new families can join throughout the year.

🏰 October 17–18 | Mom & Me Campout: Medieval Knights!
Hear ye, hear ye! Moms and Cub Scouts are invited to a weekend of medieval-themed adventure, tent camping, and outdoor fun at George Pirtle Scout Reservation, hosted by the East Texas Area Council!

🎃 October 26 | Halloween Games & Pumpkin Carving!
Wear your favorite Halloween costume and join us for a fun-filled evening of games, pumpkin decorating and carving activities, and plenty of Halloween excitement! 👻

🏛️ November 9 | Civic Leader Night!
Meet local elected officials, learn about our community, and discover how even our youngest citizens can make a difference!

🏕️ November 13–15 | Scoutsgiving Family Campout!
Pack 369 and Scouts BSA Troop 369 families come together at Camp Tyler for a weekend of camping, friendship, outdoor adventures, and giving thanks. 🍁

🇺🇸 What a great National Night Out in Tyler! 🚒🚓⚜️

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Pollard UMC for National Night Out! It was wonderful to see Scouts, families, neighbors, first responders, community organizations, and volunteers spending the evening together.

Our Scouts and neighborhood families got to explore a Tyler Fire Department engine, meet members of the Tyler Police Department, learn about wildlife and the outdoors, make crafts, try hands-on activities, pick up safety and community resources, and—most importantly—meet some of the people and organizations who help make our community such a great place to call home.

A huge THANK YOU to the many community partners who gave their time to join us, including the Tyler Police Department, Tyler Fire Department, Smith County Office of Emergency Management/Fire Marshal's Office, Tyler Public Library, United Way/211 East Texas, Children's Defense Fund–Texas, Smith County Master Gardeners, Texas Master Naturalists, Lions Club of Tyler, Texas Health Steps, Superior HealthPlan, UT Tyler programs, local education and community partners, and everyone else who helped make the evening possible.

We are especially grateful to Pollard UMC for welcoming our neighbors and supporting Scouting Ministries at Pollard, and to the volunteers and families of Cub Scout Pack 369, Scouts BSA Troop 369, and Venturing Crew 369 who helped bring the evening together.

National Night Out is about more than police cars and fire engines. It's about knowing our neighbors, connecting families with community resources, building relationships with first responders, and creating a safer and more connected community.

There's LOTS for kids and families to do at National Night Out!

Tuesday's National Night Out at Pollard UMC isn't just about information booths—we're bringing together education, health, youth organizations and Scouting for an evening of hands-on family fun!

🎓 Come meet and explore activities with:
• UT Tyler School of Medicine – Pathways & Experiential Learning
• UT Tyler School of Nursing – MENs (Men in Nursing) Student Group
• UT Tyler School of Education
• Henry M. Bell Elementary PTA Tyler ISD

National Night Out is almost here!

Our very first National Night Out at Pollard UMC has grown into something pretty special. We're excited to welcome an incredible group of first responders and community organizations Tuesday evening!

🚒 Come meet some of the people who serve our community, including:
• City of Tyler Fire Department — with a fire truck!
• UT Health East Texas EMS — with an ambulance!
• Smith County Office of Emergency Management / Fire Marshal's Office
• City of Tyler Police Department — planning to stop by during the evening

And meet community partners offering resources, activities and information for Tyler-area families:
• 2-1-1 East Texas / United Way of Smith County
• Children's Defense Fund-Texas
• Tyler Public Library
• Lions Club Tyler Lions 1084
• Smith County Master Gardeners

🌲 Adventure is Calling, Pack 369!

It’s Monday—and tonight Pack 369 is taking our meeting outdoors! 🥾🌳

Instead of meeting at our regular location at Pollard, our Cub Scouts will be heading out to explore the Rose Rudman Trail as our dens continue their Outdoor Adventures.

Our youngest Scouts will be exploring nature and putting their Cub Scout Six Essentials into practice, while our older Scouts take on longer walks, practice Leave No Trace and the Outdoor Code, look for signs of wildlife, and put the outdoor skills they’ve been learning into action.

And at the end of the trail for all dens awaits some frozen treats! 🍦

Pack 369 families: Please check your Pack communications for tonight’s meeting details, what to bring, and your den’s specific plan.

Join the Scouting Ministries at Pollard for a free evening bringing our neighbors together with community partners from across East Texas. We’re looking forward to visits and activities from Tyler Police, Tyler Fire Department, Smith County emergency management, Tyler Public Library, health and education organizations and more plus Scoutcrafts and games for all ages!

🏕️ October 17–18 — ETAC Mom & Me Campout
Moms (and all interested parents/guardians) and their Cub Scouts can head to George Pirtle Scout Reservation for a weekend of camping, outdoor activities, and Scouting fun!

🎃 Monday, October 26 — Halloween Night & Pumpkin Carving!
Scouts, wear your Halloween costumes! 👻 We’ll have a special Pack evening with pumpkin carving, Halloween activities, costumes, and plenty of family fun. More details will be coming soon!

🌲 TONIGHT — Outdoor Adventures Begin!
We’ll meet at our regular time and location at Pollard UMC from 6:30–7:30 PM. Our dens will begin working on their required Outdoor Adventures, learning and practicing skills that will prepare them to get outside and explore!

🐾 What’s Ahead at Pack 369?

It’s been a great start to our Cub Scout year! We’ve welcomed lots of new Scouts and families, learned what it means to live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law, and many of our dens have been busy working through their Bobcat Adventure.

Now the adventures keep going! 🌲🥾

🏕️ Monday, Sept. 21 — Regular Den Meetings at Pollard UMC
Our dens will begin working on their required Outdoor Adventures, learning and practicing skills that will help prepare them to get outside and explore.

🌳 Monday, Sept. 28 — Outdoor Adventure Night!
Instead of our regular meeting location, we’re planning to hike the Rose Rudman Trail. Each den will head out with leaders and parents for a rank-appropriate outdoor Adventure—from outdoor exploration for our youngest Scouts to longer trail adventures for our older Scouts.

🍦 And we’ve heard there might even be some frozen custard afterward for families who want to join us!

New to Pack 369 or still thinking about Cub Scouts? You haven’t missed your chance to join! New Scouts are welcome throughout the year, and our leaders will help families get caught up on anything they may have missed.

Cub Scouting is all about learning by doing, trying new things, making friends, and having fun together—and we have a lot more ahead this fall!

Monday night, our dens will continue working on the Bobcat Adventure, the first required Adventure for each Cub Scout rank.

New Scout? Missed our August 31 meeting? Just joining us? No problem! Our Den Leaders will help Scouts jump in, catch up on anything they missed, and continue the Adventure with their den.

And a special welcome to all of the new Scouts and families who have joined Pack 369 over the past few weeks! We're excited to have you as part of the Pack.

👋 Still considering Cub Scouts? Prospective families are welcome to visit Monday night, too! You don't need a uniform or have everything figured out. Come meet us, participate with your Scout's den, ask questions, and see what Cub Scouting is all about.

🎣 What a Great Day for Pack 369!

Cub Scout Pack 369 had an awesome Fishing & Hiking Adventure at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Tyler Nature Center! 🌲🥾🎣

Our Scouts spent the morning learning some of the skills that help make a safe, responsible angler—including fishing equipment and tackle, knot tying, fish and habitat knowledge, conservation and fishing ethics, safety, and casting. Then came the best part: putting those new skills to work and going fishing! And yes...there were even some fish caught! 🐟

A huge THANK YOU to Tommy Anderson from Pack 251 in Kilgore and Jessica Josey from Pack 359 in Whitehouse for joining us and helping make the day such a success. We are grateful for fellow Scouters who are willing to share their time, experience, and enthusiasm with our Scouts.

We also want to thank the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for making the Tyler Nature Center available. Having such a wonderful facility for both hands-on instruction and outdoor exploration made this experience possible.

Most of all, thank you to all of our Pack 369 families, leaders, and volunteers who came out and helped our Scouts learn by doing, explore the outdoors, and make some great Scouting memories together.
