the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college edu

cated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo
and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

Honored to have attended the Tyler Alumnae Chapter’s 2026 May Week Luncheon alongside so many phenomenal women of Delta. It was truly a full circle moment to hear from such a powerful keynote speaker, a proud Upsilon Epsilon alum. We are beyond proud of her and grateful for every word she poured into the room. Her passion, grace, and commitment to service continue to inspire us, and we are excited to see all the impact she will make in her new role on the TISD School Board.

We also celebrate our 2025 and 2026 graduates who were recognized during this special occasion. Watching your hard work be acknowledged in a room filled with excellence was a moment we will always cherish.

This semester, the Upsilon Epsilon Chapter proudly poured into our community through the Word Up Literacy Program, living out our commitment to Educational Development. From March 16 to April 17, our members showed up week after week at TJ Austin Elementary, working one on one and in small groups to strengthen reading skills, build confidence, and create a positive space for young learners to grow.

Whether it was one day or multiple days, each moment mattered. Our Sorors remained dedicated, patient, and intentional, reminding every student that their voice, their growth, and their success are important.

Service is what we do, and investing in education is how we uplift the future. ❤️📘
