For many years, the East Texas Leadership Summit has served as a meaningful event for connection, professional development, and community impact. Through this event, we have celebrated leadership, invested in education, and strengthened relationships across East Texas. After thoughtful discussion and careful consideration, the HPAT Board determined that it is time to evolve from the Summit in a way that allows us to better align with our mission, increase long-term sustainability, and continue expanding our impact within the Tyler and Greater East Texas community.
Beginning in 2027, HPAT will transition to a new signature event that will celebrate leadership as well as our mission of honoring the students whose lives are transformed through our scholarship program. This new experience will place a greater emphasis on educational advancement, leadership, cultural pride, and community engagement—values that remain at the heart of HPAT.
While this marks the end of one chapter, it also represents the beginning of an exciting new season of growth for our organization. The decision to move away from the Summit was not made lightly. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the East Texas Leadership Summit successful throughout the years. Your investment in HPAT has allowed us to empower students, support professionals, and build a stronger and more connected community.
We look forward to continuing this journey together and invite you to be part of this new vision as we create an inspiring and impactful experience in 2027 and beyond.
