Financial assistance for women veterans

We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of our WINGS (Women’s Immediate Needs & Grant Services) Micro-Grant Program.

We know that many of our sisters-in-arms face sudden, "gap" financial hurdles - whether it’s a lack of funds for weekly groceries or an overdue utility bill. WINGS is designed to provide quick-turnaround, small-scale financial assistance to bridge these gaps. This program is about more than just money; it’s about providing the stability needed to stay on the path to success.

January 27th is Vietnam Peace Day, and is observed annually to commemorate the signing of the Paris Peace Accords in 1973, which officially ended direct U.S. military involvement in the Vietnam War. The agreement established a ceasefire, the withdrawal of American troops, and the release of prisoners of war.

We pause to remember and honor the men and women who served during the Vietnam War. We recognize their courage, sacrifice, and resilience—many of whom returned home quietly, without the recognition they deserved. Today is a reminder that peace is precious, freedom is costly, and service leaves a lasting imprint not only on those who serve, but on their families and communities as well.

The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Veterans Committee honors all Vietnam-era Veterans, remembers those who gave their lives, and extends our gratitude to those who continue to carry the legacy of service forward.

May we never forget.

May we continue to serve those who served.
