Juneteenth Association of Tyler JUNETEENTH ASSOCIATION OF TYLER state of Texas in June 1865, and more generally the emancipation of African-American slaves throughout the Confederate South.

Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day, Freedom Day, or Emancipation Day, is a holiday in the United States that commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. Celebrated on June 19, the term is a portmanteau of June and nineteenth, and is recognized as a state holiday or special day of observance in most states.

Tomorrow June 20, 2026 Parade starts @ 9am🚨🚨 Important Juneteenth Parade Route Update🚨🚨

Due to an issue affecting a portion of N. Border Street, the Juneteenth Parade route has been slightly rerouted to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this minor adjustment. The parade will continue as scheduled, and we look forward to celebrating this important occasion with our community.

Thank you for your cooperation.

✅ Start at MLK Blvd. and N. Glenwood Blvd.
➡️ Continue on MLK Blvd. to Border Avenue
⬅️ Turn left onto Border Avenue and continue to 26th Street
⬅️ Turn left onto 26th Street and continue to Glass Avenue
➡️ Turn right onto Glass Avenue and continue to 32nd Street
➡️ Turn right onto 32nd Street and continue to North Broadway Avenue, where the parade will end.

Best Viewing Location:
Spectators are encouraged to watch the parade along Glass Avenue between 25th Street and 28th Street.
