🎉✨ Better Me Foundation Turns 2! ✨🎉

Today we celebrate 2 years of impact, growth, and purpose. What started as a vision to support young men aging out of foster care has grown into a movement — a safe place, a family, and a foundation built on hope, healing, and becoming better every single day.

In just two years, we’ve:

🌱 Provided guidance, housing, and support to young men finding their footing
🛠️ Taught life skills, responsibility, and real-world tools they can carry for a lifetime
💛 Built connections with a community that believes in second chances
🚗 Created memories, mentorships, and opportunities that change the direction of lives
🙌 Turned “you’re on your own now” into “you never have to walk alone again”

This work isn’t easy… but it’s worth it. And we’re just getting started.
Better Me is more than a nonprofit — it’s a declaration:

Today we took our Lifeskills session on the road and volunteered at the Swan Food Pantry. With so many people not getting their SNAP benefits, we wanted to do something to help because actions speak louder than Social Media post. Our guys actually enjoyed being around servant hearted people.

Today we celebrate our first young adult to get his drivers license! This is one of the many goals we have for them before they leave at 21. Next up paid in full cash car!

Anyone out there with a good reliable cash car?

We traveled all the way to Quitman TX to get this done. Please tell Tyler to expand their office!

Day 5: Last Day of vacation.

The rain finally stopped long enough for us to enjoy the beach over at St.Andrews State Park.

This public beach was by far the best beach we have visited. NOW we are headed home to pack and get ready for our trip back home

Day 4:
Today we kept it simple because it has rained all day here so some of us went over to Dave &Busters. When we got back we took the party outside for burgers and hotdogs on the grill and some homestyle potatoes (because Tony wanted some). I didn't get many photos because I was so in the moment.
Hopefully tomorrow we can hit the beach for some jet skiing!

Shout to my hisband for helping me with everything during this trip. He been the driver and the errand driver.

Day 3 of our vacation in Florida:
We rented a platoon and drove over to Crab Island in Destin to enjoy the water and vibes. The guys really enjoyed it.

Day 2 of our summer vaca with the guys! We enjoyed the sea Screamer that took us out on the water to see the dolphins. Afterwards we went over to Pier Park to eat and sightseeing.
