Tyler Area Gays

Tyler Area Gays TAG+ is a non-profit organization in Tyler, TX that celebrates our diversity through support, education, outreach, and advocacy.

Project TAG is primarily charitable and educational; that is, it (a) exists to educate the public on issues specifically affecting gay, le***an, bisexual, and transgender persons, as well as their families and friends, (b) intends to conduct activities aimed at the elimination of prejudice, discrimination, isolation, and bullying of such persons, and (c) promotes awareness of injustices perpetrated against and the need for the defense of human and civil rights of such persons.

Hope everyone is having a good labor day, and staying cool, here is your TAG+ calendar for this week!

**Tonight's Boo Ball planning meeting has been postponed and will be held in conjunction with our Social Committee Monday 9/14.

Tuesday is 's Annual Meeting, make sure you check it out if you can! They will be electing new members, so this is your chance to get involved if you're interested!

Wednesday is our Men's Social Group, we're going to Chuy's, come out and help us celebrate Colten's birthday!!

Thursday will be our Book Club: Twilight Kin, compiler Jared Watson will be there to talk about the book.

Friday we're going to Athens to watch a play together!! It's Arsenic & Old Lace, in the Henderson County Performing Arts Center.

Saturday is our long awaited TAG+ Rainbow Market & Wellness Fair, we've got over 25 vendors, and we're having a drag show! Quoe will be there to perform, you don't want to miss it!

Sunday is our TAG+ Sunday Brunch, we'll be meeting at ETX Brewing Co. at 11!

Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone, we've got a double Sunday for y'all!

We're starting the morning off with our monthly Pickle Ball Social, with coffee and donuts at 8am, and matches starting at 9am at the Bergfeld Park Courts.

Then that afternoon at 1pm we will meet at Geek World for board games, pizza, and a couple of one-shot RPG campaigns!

Come out this evening to Times Square Grand Slam for our monthly TAG+ Bowling Night!!

TAG+ gets the lanes, all you have to do is get your shoes iff you want to bowl! There are also aracade games, great food and drinks, and karaoke in the bar after 9!

September is upon us, and here is your TAG+ calendar for the month.

We're kicking this week off with our monthly Bowling Night at Times Square Grand Slam on Wednesday, lanes open at 6:30 PM, but you can come hang out whether you bowl or not!

Thursday at 7:30 PM we've got General Trivia at Rose City Draft House and Bar, where we'll have prizes available for 1st place, and drink specials all night long.

This month we're having the Pickle Ball Social on the first Sunday of the month, with coffee & donuts at 8 AM, followed by matches starting at 9 AM!

Then right after we'll have our Roll with Pride - RPG and Tabletop Games Group at Geek World, with pizza, campaigns, and board games starting at 1 PM.

Next week we're back to planning our Disco Boo Ball on Monday, and then on Thursday, we will get to hear from the compiler of our September Book Club: Twilight Kin, compiled by Jerid Watson

Also keep an eye out for events coming up like: TAG+ Thesbians - Arsenic & Old Lace, our info-seminar Holding Space, presented by The Evie Effect, and a chance to walk with us in the parade as we go to Pride in Dallas!!

We're only two weeks away from our Fall Rainbow Market & Wellness Fair, and registration closes this week!!

When: Sept 12th 10AM-3PM
Where: Parry's Pizza Parking Lot
What: We will have local vendors, wellness resources, a drag show, and Parry's will be doing a dine-in give back!!

We are looking for vendors, wellness providers, non-profits, and drink/dessert trucks.

The Fall 2026 TAG+ Backpacks program was a success!

Thank you so much to all our volunteers and sponsors for helping us make this a reality, we were able to fill 72 backpacks full of supplies and delivered them to Boulter Middle School! We truly appreciate all of you, we could not have done it without y'all.

Our next program will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for details. And if you'd like to help us plan and put these programs, come out to our Community Outreach Committee, the 4th Monday of every month, at 6:30PM at St. Clare's Tyler.

Boo Ball is going Disco, and tickets are now on sale!!!

We're bringing the 70's vibes this Halloween with our 16th annual TAG+ Boo Ball, Disco edition!

When: October 10th from 7 PM to 11 PM
Where: Holiday Inn Conference Center
