Oliver Twist picked his family! Seriously, he was loving on all of the humans and doing his absolute best to keep all the other cats away! He's been here since January 2024, so when we say he was picky- we mean it!! I think he made an excellent choice! Happy, happy day!

It's Party Time! Where are you? We've got ice cream, auction stuff, a photo contest ongoing, and kitties waiting to be snuggled! It's humid, sure, but that cool, sweet ice cream will taste so much better! Don't even worry about the shower! Just throw on some deodorant and come on over!

Triscuit finally picked his family! He's been our longest resident, he came in with his sisters in the winter of 2024 and they've been adopted for ages! Triscuit was picky though, he finally made his choice! And this little girl is his new best friend! Not going to lie, this one is hard! We're definitely going to miss his loving hugs and demands for attention!

We have a great idea!! We're having a photo contest on Saturday! You bring your brag worthy picture printed out with no text, limit size to no bigger that 8 x 10, put your name, address, and phone number on the back. We'll put it up with a number on it and folks who come to our party vote for it by putting money in a jar with the same number. The winner is the one who earns the most money to help the WKCR kitties! Entries will need to be in by 11 to give them the best shot and if you want the pic back, picked up after 3 on Saturday, otherwise we'll assume you don't want it back. One pic per kitty, but you can have multiple kitties in the same pic. Ooh, this is going to be fun! Tell your peeps to come by and vote and tell them to bring real money! The winner will receive a gift basket of fun kitty stuff! Told you it was a great idea!

Thank you so much to Lisa, Jennifer, Connie, and Rose for working like beavers to refresh and spiff up the rescue last Saturday!! They gave their entire day to make sure our cats have a happy, clean space to show off this weekend! 💞😻We even discussed doing this more often! Would anyone be interested in participating in the future?

Midnight went exploring and was found stuck up a tree! Her family called to ask if we'd seen her because they found her collar stuck up a different tree! She's so excited to go home!

Don't forget we would love to see you tomorrow for a couple of hours! We'll provide the supplies, you provide the elbow grease! See you at 10!

It's Cleaning Day! We really need your help this Saturday, August 8th! We need a top to bottom, wall to wall scrub! If it doesn't move, it needs shined up! Can you come by a for a couple of hours, armed with all of your elbow grease? We'll plan to start at 10, after we get the residents fed, litterboxed and crated so that we don't have too much help! If you have an extra stepladder, toss it in please. And then, because it's going to look so great, we're having a party on the 15th! Come back for ice cream, some lawn games, a silent auction, a raffle, time with the kitties and anything else we decide to add! We're also needing people to help with that, so let us know if you can spend some extra time with us. We're also looking for additional auction items. And any 6 or 8 ft tables and/or folding chairs that we could borrow for the day. Let us know so that we can plan for your help! And bring your friends!! 507 215 2349
