Dear Fabulous Wo-Ha-Li Units,
How are you, old chaps? I hope this message finds you doing something wildly exciting – perhaps wrestling a rogue alligator or mastering the fine art of origami. Now, onto the matter at hand. There's an occasion approaching, one that has less to do with tropical reptiles or paper swans, and more with honouring our fallen heroes – a rather serious business if you ask me.
On Saturday, May 27th, as the clock strikes 7:30 AM, we gather, shovels in hand, for the 2023 Memorial Day Flag Planting community service. This isn't your ordinary garden party, oh no. This is an annual hootenanny led by none other than our gallant Order of the Arrow Chapter. Seek out the dashing figures in red and white OA sashes upon your arrival – they'll be your trusty guides for the day.
As British as tea and crumpets, the tradition of gathering isn't complete without some post-activity refreshments. So after you've conquered the thrilling adventure of flag planting, do tuck into some nibbles we'll have prepared. And don't forget your Unit Appropriate BSA Field Uniform, let's not be underdressed for the occasion.
