TABA members, the deadline for the TABA Professional Women in Building Council scholarship application is Thursday, February 13, 2025 and you may know someone who qualifies! See details below and help spread the word!

Scholarship information:
For the second consecutive year, TABA Professional Women in Building Council will award scholarship(s) to deserving applicants this coming spring and YOU may know someone who is eligible!

Who can apply?
Female students who are an employee or family member of a TABA member who are going into building/construction related studies. This means ANY of your employees and their family members!
OR
Female students who are not affiliated with TABA according to the criteria above, but are recommended by a TABA member. They must also be going into building/constructed related studies. This means as a TABA member, you may recommend a student you know who would like to apply (ie. an intern, family friend, etc.).

What qualifies as building/construction related studies?
We’re casting a very broad net here. Think of all the different types of members who make up the Tyler Area Builders Association… finance, architecture, trade schools, the list goes on. Any field that contributes to the building industry will be considered.

Other important info:
Scholarships will be awarded for college or trade school tuition, books, or supply and equipment needs as requested.

Applications will be accepted until February 13, 2025. We are excited to give back to our industry through this scholarship and hope you will distribute this information to your employees!

The more you know!

In 2023, the number of women employed in the construction industry inched up to around 1.3 million. Women now represent 10.8% of the construction workforce, an increase from 9.3% in 2002.

Spread the word! We are now accepting vendor applications for our 2nd Annual Sip & Shop! This is a pop-up shopping market open to TABA/PWB members and their guests. Last year's event was WELL attended, and we are looking forward to even more vendors!
