The first day of early voting in the March Primary Election saw 1,919 ballots cast in Smith County and 151 mail-in ballots, for a total of 2,070 votes so far.
There are five early voting locations in Smith County, including two in Tyler, and polling places in Lindale, Noonday and Whitehouse.
The free Smith County parking garage is nextdoor to The Hub in downtown Tyler. But if you want to avoid the downtown construction projects and road closures, vote at the nearby Heritage Building.

Early voting dates and times include:
• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday - Friday, February 17-20
• 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 21
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 22
• 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Friday, February 23-27
If you would like to apply for a mail-in ballot, the deadline for the Elections Office to receive the application is February 20.
