I'm excited to announce that the poppy poster winner from our division (Northwestern Division, Dept of MN) in the National Poppy Poster contest was submitted by Rozalee Homola from North Shore Community School!! This is the second year our Unit has held a local poppy poster contest for the Two Harbors area, and the first year we have had posters chosen to move on to the National contest.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the poster contest this year, we had an AMAZING turnout!

All of the posters were displayed at the Post over the month of May through Memorial Day.

Students (grades 2 to 12) showcase their artistic talents on an 11”x14” poster board using the poppy. One student in each category per division will be selected as a winner.

We are looking for part-time help!
We are currently hiring for:

🧹Part-time janitor (Memorial Room and kitchen only) for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings

🍔Part-time kitchen help (taking and delivering orders, running POS, light prep work)

🍺Call-in bartender (to fill in as needed)

If interested, stop in and fill out an application. They are available at both the bar and at the kitchen!

Congratulations goes out to Emily Ness who won the Patriotic quilt/pillowcase in our raffle drawing tonight!! All proceeds from this raffle will be donated to the Silver Bay Veterans Home. Happy 250th U.S. Army Birthday!
Today we honor 250 years of service, strength, and sacrifice. From the battles of the Revolution to today's missions, the Army has stood tall—because of each Soldier, civilian, family member, and community supporter.
Thank you to those who have served & to those soldiers who are still serving today🇺🇸.

We have started our 2025 Quilt Raffle!!
This quilt and matching pillowcase was made by and donated to our Unit by the Two Harbors Quilters. ALL proceeds go to the Silver Bay Veterans Home.
Tickets are $10 each, 300 sold, drawing will be held on Friday July 4th at 7:00pm at the American Legion Post 109.
To purchase tickets, you can either message us via Facebook, send a check to the Post and we will mail you back your stubs, email us at [email protected] and we can set you up, or via Venmo and we can either email you or send you your stubs. Otherwise, our unit members have tickets to sell and I will make sure there are some available at both the bar and the kitchen for purchase.
